P.W. Fung sent me this picture of his new pet, which he says is called Koushi—from the Chinese and Japanese names of a few other albino cats. He also sent me this picture of him dressed as Wonder Woman, in some sort of guayaba costume. Weird name for a dog, huh?[and you can click on it to read his updated list of pets]On December 19, 1921, Fung had put together a parade of pink-and-brown spangled animal costumes for a great meeting of the White Puppets! Here, you can see some of my contributions.This is a photo of him dressed as Mother Teresa. I was so thrilled when Fung gave me permission to reproduce it online:His latest costume is made from brown wool, and has a face carved out of it, with painted eyes. To protect it, they are stitched onto a thick black material, with a layer of what looks like iron next to the edges. He says it's impossible to make the makeup separate, so he plans to attach it to a metal tray.Fung also makes a great large elephant and dragon cat, and a variety of animals out of PVC tubing, wood and bits of fabric. The tube parts are clumped together, then cut to size again, so you can vary the shape of things. His animal cat appears to be made from several different pieces of tubing, maybe an inch long, and each one is flat and jointed. Some of these parts are actually hollow tubing, filled with foam, which forms a sort of stuffed animal inside. This cat seems to wear the same kind of head piece (or helmet) as people in certain poses; perhaps that changes as we progress farther into Fung's puppety stage.Eyes painted green, but still blue. I've seen his doo-dad, so he probably comes off more as he might in the cartoons, having no lips.
