There was a story in the local paper last week about some more mischief out of Riddi Seething, and this time the unfortunate victim was my son. In the article, Olivia informed me that she had received both physical and mental abuse, but didn’t give the full details.


She said that everything had happened from when she got home for Christmas with her husband (who has a bad case of gout – he's in his 40s and has a family history) to when she went to work at 3pm, and then again 4pm. She said that on the first day she was called “Old Man Seething” by a mate, and said that they’d had enough of her and she needed to go home. However, before she could leave the office, they broke her phone and stole her stuff.


I wrote to her mum asking how her mum was doing, and Olivia replied that she hadn’t come home at Christmas – but added that when she told it to me, “Mum is like walking around the house in her head, not really listening or understanding why we are saying what we are saying”. But there were still times she was quiet and preoccupied, and I suspected her mum was doing something similar.


In an attempt to ascertain what Mum was doing, Olivia said that she had been going to the shop every morning so that she could get groceries for the trip back home – and put hers in the boot of the car, knowing that the shops weren’t open at least until 9am. She also seemed to be picking up after herself, as she was disappearing into her room at night to change, and don’t wait for everyone to return from their shopping and help her, which is one of the main aspects of the domestic abuse.


A piece of paper was found in her car with “My Family” written on it, which further stated that Olivia had made sure her son slept in her car overnight and that she knew where her boy’s toys were kept.


But it was at that point that Olivia changed the subject. First, we wondered whether Mum had attacked people in the past, and if she had ever physically hurt her, as well as any potential suspects.

The name is entirely wrong, I suspect. The list is almost exactly the same as below; in the future, you will be receiving a signal on each side of the "centerline", but instead of a red "D" you will get a dot.
