Bahar Ibni Jefri Bolkiah

Muzaffar Ahmad Ashraf Siddiqui Aziz, was born on 7 April 1941 as the eldest of two children of Muktabaul Hyder Ashraf Aziz and Kazi Husna Nazli Siddiqui in a Yazidi family to Sheikh Tahirazan-e Suhail Siddiqui and Muktabeganam Jamal Aziz respectively. He belongs to Haditsatr or Farooki lineage of Yazidi people which according to Islamic scholars is believed to be descended from Ibrahim, son of Abd Allah Al-Muhallabi. The Ashraf Siddiquis of Bangladesh are well known for their Islamic dedication towards arts, culture and scholarship. Dr Mah Muzzafar Tajul Bhuiyan is one of those who has dedicated his life to explore and preserve their unique traditional Islamic contributions in the country. This particular book we have written is written about the Islamic Golden Age (Age of Ahmad Bal Attia) & Rajput Caliphate in India. As the name says, with that age onwards Aurangzeb appointed Maulana Saifuddin Mahmood Faiz to be the Ala khalifa of Rajputs in Bengal. In Rajasthan, it was Maulana Abdus Khan, Shahabuddin Maulana Hafiz Ahmed and other notable Muslim Baridqats who were its greatest in this respect. Out of all Muslims belonging to different parts of the world, the Banarsi clan of Urdu has retained its pre-eminence, reflecting its rare blend of high social standing, intellectual prowess and cultural tradition. During his elder days as Maulana Amir Hamadullah the great reformer of 1851, Maulana Bukhari started doing mission work amongst religious Baluchi Balajis who were settled in India. Earlier I remember Maulana Sahib Talpadeen Haji Abdul Barakat mentioning that Maulana Bukhari had made his life story through many things both historical and dramatic. His writings were readable and filled with lot of factual data. Later when there would be an incident coming up he would react in kind….this was indeed a good development!!!!
