7 - Just Do It
1st, In a Nutshell
What makes you go “I’m gonna cross my fingers and be strong”??
2nd, How did he know?
3rd, Good Idea
What? Come on.
4th, Are these supposed to be serious questions????
5th, What if I’m correct in my assumptions and it’s actually happening?
6th…come on.
7th, Let’s make this work, and what better way than with you?
8th, No! No! Let’s forget that, and maybe save this for those rare moments when a conversation doesn’t fall apart.
9th, Give me an example of how I can convince him we need to do this.
10th, Finally, I’m joking.
11th, You have no idea what you’re talking about.
I am the manager (possibly) at the top-tier company that exists only to cater to the CEO’s whims. As the president of our newly-assumed board of directors, I stand behind my Chief of Staff. This is who I report to. This is who we serve. This is what you will say or do next. This is who answers to me. This is what I live for. Every single person on this incredibly long list:
In order to grow our product to match demand through out the entire process, we must interview as many quality candidates as possible. A talented candidate will not merely get you the interview, but will ensure we discover one in every five candidates in the entire staff. Without knowing the person we want inside the company, just seeing their LinkedIn profile, we might not see them. We are lucky to have the best of the best, and therefore I can only speak for myself. I am proud to say the above statements represent my unique viewpoint on what has come to be known as: the most diverse group of individuals from multiple cultures in the entertainment industry.
I hear you, Ms. Deveau. Yes, I’m making it sound like that’s all good.
