My opinion on the homosexuality issues in this country.
Americans, you have made yourselves a laughing stock.
Make no mistake about it, I am a homosexual man raised in the United States.
Lately, I have heard numerous articles that reference how American culture is too gay to be loved by any other people of color. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is that the African-American community is far more accepting of gays than the American race and homosexuals of color have far bigger sex partners.
It never ceases to amaze me at just how many people assume that gays are these people who demand to be called something that isn’t normal. I don’t see how this type of ignorance is able to promote human rights when it comes to political dissent and activism. Now, I must offer up a piece of advice to those of you trying to hold your little corner of the world together: DON’T ASSUME.
The best thing an activist can do is prepare. Make plans. Work with some religious people to gather facts. Attend school orientation events. Set an example of being courteous and professional. Above all else, YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH. Yes, I realize that many times we might fool ourselves into believing things aren’t really that bad, but that is not exactly the state of the nation.
That all being said, I am honestly sorry for saying this, but I most humbly petition the United Nations to take charge of this country. Since everything in America is run by white males, shouldn’t we be the ones to sort out this issue?
I did not mean any harm by challenging such bigotry. The truth is that this country needs strong support from the majority of society – the majority of people – whose ancestors built our country. The United States is a nation of immigrants. Every refugee coming north should be welcomed. We must welcome these people with open arms.
This is an issue brought forth by the many hatreds that have been prevalent within our borders, but we must first acknowledge that this is a family orientated nation.
This was a major goal before California became an independent state as I recently wrote about. I am the father of three children and I have two lesbian daughters. My daughters were born outside the state of California.
