Milwaukee M480 Flashlight
You can pick up a Milwaukee M480 flashlight at Costco for $26.99 while you see it here - check out our previous reviews and specs to help make the best choice possible!
The original m480 was first released in 2008, and is what made them the original all-rounder flashlight with zero compromises over the years. Unlike other small LED flashlights, the m480 still works and stays on your wand when you head out, unlike many brand new ones. So buy one now if you want one for your pet or children. This is one of the best low-voltage portable lights on the market. Why? Well, there are many factors that make it the best:
Features:
3020 Lumen Cd (1" Cd = 3090 lm)
Energy efficient - no more toxic mercury contained
11 button
Black body
Calorimetric switch
Cons:
1 grommeted cartridge
Just the vial needed for a replacement
Biodized lithium polymer coating (not colorless, but slightly less reflective)
Need a tool to put the battery into the base? Pick this one up at Blomko, which also makes a nice colorless replacement battery that works with any current lithium type phone. Do yourself a favor and pick up this before you go, as it will save you some pain when switching batteries.
To clean a flashlight using a soft wet cloth:
Hold the flashlight up to the cloth and start getting the fingers wet. Make sure to only get in there little bits and let them air dry. You don't want to get all sticky and it'll just be a big deal to get outta the way. Once the flashlight is clean, you're ready to use it!
Questions we thought you needed answering:
1. What is a gel battery? How do I replace the battery?
Gel Batteries are simply battery packs built from gel. Meaning the gel is sealed between two metal pieces. When the gel expands and contracts, it produces a tiny stream of gas (measured in volume) which powers a LED. You can purchase a replacement for the GEL-MAX G22-V2. Although the replacement sold by Comfun would be perfect, they've closed down their old website.
