Swallowing

In the Museum: "Swallowing" an object in our exhibit at RMS is very rewarding. It's not just one to nibble on or bite, it's exploration! You’ll want to put the object away for this one. And it's hard to see when we have to hide some of the objects in the Museum before the morning opening. Please note, you can hold and touch everything.

To start, you'll be required to go through our quick orientation. If you'd like to visit an animal collection, this will be a good chance to do so (as long as the visitor guide is giving you a detailed list of those animals). You'll also need to show your photo ID and let the gallery associate you with this tour.

We'll walk you over to an Exhibit Hall (or Hall of Symbols), turn left, and move along. We've taken up most of a corner of a large walk-through room. Our guide will be pushing into that corner occasionally too.

You'll be able to see a handful of exhibits, such as plants, fossils, herps, rattlesnakes, etc., but you'll also find an easy pathway into more interior galleries. Throughout the exhibit, we've selected objects and objects/objects that are representative of several different ways the world interacts with animals; the objects will have been arranged by category. Some of these categories include: hand-treating and handling, meat and feeding, companionship, burrowing, capture, hunting, etc. Each exhibit area will contain a number of objects from every category.

Here we'll provide a full description of each exhibit as we go. Also, here I'll point you to the QR code to get more information on each exhibit. That path goes behind our lead attraction, L'Animal de Courte in Larnaca (exhibit 65 in our book; see the righthand sidebar).

I hope you'll enjoy this quick stopover, and I hope you'll have a good time learning about species diversity and interaction.

But I think if that's the case then please respect the sensitivities of others and me for reading the descriptions and not spoiling the experience for them.
