Egirl Rejects
HATE, BABYLON THE DREAM
by Anonymous
The final battle of her life, this final struggle, the last stands, the point of no returns. This is what she wishes for. It is what she will obtain. More likely, she just feels she wants it. She never really thought ahead quite that far. Hates like hate are born from out of the pain and frustration of our lives. They are the catalyst for you to release rage and frustration and forget to live. Your real self is made of fury. Her mother once told her so. Think then of what you have at your disposal, not what you want. And nothing is beyond the reach of bitterness and hatred.
There is no darkness when it comes to what she can handle. If she had a family, even a normal one, she would be concerned because there is no light. In her mind, everything is a giant banquet. There is no room left for love if hatred is her motivation. She needs to use the resources she has. None of these resources are appropriate for the job she's doing as an Egirl. That might qualify as a complaint, but it doesn't define her in the way she'll want to be defined. No one expects a great deal from Egirl—they're always expecting something less.
No matter how long she's been at Sothee’s, Egirl will always be very aware of her appearance. “I’ve come to the same realization recently,” she says. “When I'm surrounded by beautiful women, I have nowhere to escape my own eyes. Seeing them shine makes me all the more ready to repay their good-will with…well, I suppose I should think of it in the realm of fairies. I can only hope they don't mistake me for a cat.”
If she seems attractive, it's because she is. If she seems otherwise, it's because she's angry at herself. She's determined to capture and mold her shape. The current form she's sporting is fine, but she'd rather wear something else. The hair she wanted before the Sothee's sale is off-white. Now she does insist on a gold-braided braid down her back that's perfect for a red dress.
