I know it has been a long wait for you all, and I know the world hasn't really gotten one of these things quite like I have. So, in honor of my fantastic new editor (and my best friend) Sara Aul, I thought I would pose five questions to her. The questions are in order of their importance, and I hope you don't think I'm doing her any favors here... First, is there a reason, anywhere, that the first sentence of the novel isn't a whole lot longer than it needs to be? Do you prefer the shorter version? My preference is actually why, right in the beginning, does Robert actually become a man and why doesn't he then, after many years, decide to change everything? I think it's interesting and I wanted to begin slow and even though we meet him around the end of the book, it makes what happens during the journey easier. Second, do you think the title _Coming Home_ should have been a different one altogether? I meant to ask, if you have come up with a name for somethi...
